Facilities and Infrastructure

BMHS offers a very well developed programme comprising of academics, sports and co- curricular values. It provides opportunity for every student to grow in knowledge, self- confidence, skill and understanding. Every class room is well ventilated, furnished and offers right atmosphere for learning. Each and every student is given maximum individual attention. Each class room is provided with white boards, chart boards and smart boards for illustrations, display of charts and to see and learn. The teachers are only too ready to give extra help to students after school hours. Efficient transport facilities are also provided by the school management.

Computer Lab:

Computer education is an integral part of the curriculum. A fully equipped Computer lab provides Computer education from Class 4 in BMHS. Students are trained to acquire the knowledge of computers by highly qualified teachers. An internet connection in the lab provides internet access for educational materials. In computer education, emphasis is on concept formation rather than merely providing information.

At primary level and middle level, the students are trained to use computers with focus on application software like Paint, Notepad, Word pad and programming languages like LOGO, Q-Basic, C, C++ and HTML.

They are also trained to use MS-Office applications like MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint. Students are given hands-on experience to work on these applications which are required for day-to-day activities.

The Science Lab:

The science lab provides an atmosphere of experiencing and learning science under the professional guidance of able teachers. Students exhibit their innovative, creative power through models, activities. The science lab also helps in the better understanding of concepts taught in theory classes.

 Records are maintained by the students for their experiments, activities and projects. Students understand their lessons much better through Audio-visual system. They understand the concept well through the explanations with the help of projector.

Library:

The vast collection of reference books, periodicals and audio/video materials help the students as well as the teachers of the whole school to get information on the required subject.

A collection of reference books includes encyclopaedia, dictionaries, atlas and the syllabus based text books of different authors help the students and the teachers for their day to day teaching and assignment work.

Workbooks on subjects like Mathematics and Science are also available in the library for the students’ use. We try to inculcate in students the habit of going through reference books so that they can expand their knowledge on topics taught in the classes. The library is
equipped well with books of stories, fictions, autobiographies, short stories, sports and art. We encourage the students to use their time as well as in the leisure time.

Book Reading:

Students of classes I to IX have a special exposure to reading books of different nature in the library. Teachers interact with the students and develop the habit of reading. They inculcate the interest to reading books from a tender age. It automatically gets into the habit of loving books

Presentations:

 Children prepare their lessons, experiments, models and present it through the
 PowerPoint presentation programmes.

The Mathematics Lab:

Mathematics lab is one of the active lab wherein students take much enthusiasm in preparing, solving, executing various activities. Students prepare projects with the help of teachers based on their syllabus and exhibit it during the Annual Exhibition. Mathematics Day is celebrated every year with various programmes including Quiz.

Health Centre:

Students can use the health centre whenever he/she feels unwell. Basic first aid facility is provided and utmost care is taken by the matron till the arrival of the parents. The parents are requested not to send their ward to school even if he/she is slightly unwell.

Art and Crafts Programme:

The art section is committed to bring out the creative thinking and artistic growth through a well-organized curriculum. Art education not only nurtures creativity but also leads to emotional development and eases stress. Art education complements main stream academic education. Teachers guide and encourage the students to exhibit their hidden talents and motivate them to develop in this field too. Art education begins with the basic foundation course of colour identification. Students are taught about primary colours and are also taught how to make secondary colours from the primary colours.

The students are encouraged to use different media like crayons, colouring pencils, paints, etc. which are provided by the school itself.

They are further put into drawing skills like sketch drawing. The study of art is further developed through stitching, design embroidery, knitting, crochet and fabric painting for the senior level. The art ability of the students is evident in the various exhibits created for all annual events and fests.

Digital Learning:

Learning through digital means is well acclaimed by the students and the parents. Children learn faster and better through digital boards. Learning becomes easy with illustrations of colourful and apt presentations prepared by highly skilled people.

CCTV’S:

CCTV cameras are installed for the safety and security of the children.

Purified aqua drinking water and hygienic toilets are the hall mark of Swachh Bharath . Microphones are used by the principal to speak about the moral lessons and good thoughts of the day.
